fantastic the whole package we will not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone. We were so impressed that we are going to stay at the chains other hotels. The room was spotless the bed was huge cannot fault this hotel in any way at all. The price for this type of hotel was fantastic.
not many vegetarian options on menu
staff were excellent, food was excellent room was spotless,
Warm and helpful reception. Room was modern, excellent shower. Wi-fi worked. Bed was large and comfortable. Not so easy to find, even with a Sat Nav (but we were a late, nighttime arrival). Breakfast was really good, with many traditional English breakfast choices and healthier choices too. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Very convenient location close to A1 and easy access to places of interest within a 20 mile radius. Good value for money. Room well designed.
I thought the decor in both the corridors and the room was "naff". It made the place look much older than it is.
The location of the hotel was perfect for getting into Sunderland to see Take That!, and a stones-throw from the A1, though couldn't hear the traffic at all from the motorway. We had a lovely large room, very clean, with a kingsize bed. (I think we were upgraded :) The staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. For the price we paid it was superb value for money.
Room was fine, breakfast was good. Free WiFi worked well. Hotel was close to the company I was visiting so was ideal. I would use this hotel again if on business in this area.
Convenient location, clean and tidy rooms and communal areas.
The cost of guinness at £4 per pint was expensive.
The large superking beds
All staff demonstrate a professional and friendly manner. Reception staff are welcoming, and being a regular visitor, they usually have identified me from the reservation forms, and address you by name when booking in. Breakfast is very good
Friendley Staff and good food
excellent bed, efficient shower, free wi-fi which worked
All the staff were friendly and helpful, ordering a taxi when we arrived and reopening the lounge on our return at midnight so that we could sit and talk for a while. The service at breakfast was brilliant. Nothing seemed too much trouble.
A little difficult to find from the printed instructions. We passed the entrance to Macdonald's as the hotel was not visible and we didn't see the little sign there. Left at Macdonalds then left again would be clearer.
Our bedroom was extremely well appointed and spacious. The bed was very large and comfortable. Excellent en suite with good lighting and large power-shower that included a seat. The hotel was quiet and spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money.
The hotel was very comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Spacious clean room, friendlyhelpful staff, very good breakfast and peace and quiet
